What do you do when your Jotul direct vent standing pilot gas stove in natural gas or propane won’t start? Well, if after years working properly, if you’re pilot flame won’t come on or the burner flame won’t come on when the pilot flame is on, there’s a very strong chance the the thermocouple or the thermopile on the pilot assembly have lost their ability to generate millivoltage. Send us an email at sales@mazzeosinc.com with your name, address, telephone, billing and shipping address(es), along with the make, model and serial number of your Jotul gas stove, and tell us if you’re burning propane or natural gas. We will generate an estimate for you a new pilot assembly, and you can then give us a call with a Visa or Mastercard number over the phone, and we will direct-ship you a new pilot assembly straight from Jotul in Gorham, Maine. Please note special-order parts and shipping fees are non-refundable, so you may want to have your gas technician verify that it needs a new pilot assembly first. However, given that a service call can cost more than the pilot assembly itself, if your stove is over ten years old, it’s worth just having them put a new pilot assembly on when they come out anyway.
