If you’re interested in working in the hearth industry, Mazzeo’s is one of the most established stove shops in Maine.  Established by Ron Mazzeo in 1973 and incorporated in the 1980s, today Mazzeo’s is the nation’s oldest Vermont Castings dealer, and one of the most established dealers of Jotul, Hearthstone and Morso wood stoves.  We also sell other premium hearth brands by Rais, Kuma, Kozy Heat, Marquis, Enviro and Majestic.  Mazzeo’s is always looking  to expands their service department and is looking for caring, diligent and skilled technicians to deliver, install and service our stoves and fireplaces as well and their accompanying venting systems.  When you work for Mazzeo’s, you are joining and being trained by a family-owned company that has deep ties in the hearth industry and has intimate knowledge of the products they sell as well as a deep care and understanding of how to do things properly. We don’t just install product. We install product the right and safe way, and we pride ourselves in selecting the right product for our customers.  Whether the product is wood, gas or pellet, we will be honest with you about what pros and cons of each are, so that you know you will have the right product for you because while we service what we sell, we know that a happy customer is a customer who has a product that meets their expectations.  We will train you on how to install stoves and use the right type of venting, such as when to use conventional single-wall stove pipe, close-clearance double wall black pipe for wood stoves, Class-A stainless metal chimney, direct vent pipe, pellet vent, B-Vent or steel or aluminum liners.  Technicians with experience using safety equipment, who are comfortable working on roofs, and who are able to deliver stoves and fireplaces using specialized equipment are preferred.  Mazzeo’s prides itself in versatility, and we are hard workers.  Employees must have pride in their work, exhibit good organizational and communication skills, be presentable, honest, driven and hard working.  If you are interested in starting a career at Mazzeo’s in 2026, we are offering recent high school graduates $18 per hour, and those who graduated from technical high schools with experience in carpentry or other relevant trades may start as high as $20 per hour.  Workers with experience in the hearth industry as service technicians or who have experience in carpentry, masonry, roofing or have their propane certificate may earn up to $30 per hour to start.  We also offer paid training opportunities, such as training to be a Propane & Natural Gas Technician as well as industry specific training through the National Fireplace Institute or the Chimney Safety Institute of America.  To express an interest in working for Mazzeo’s either full or part time, please stop by our store front location during our regular business hours to or visit our Contact US page and send us an email by visiting: https://www.mazzeosinc.com/contact-us
