Pellet Stoves

                                                                P43 Pellet Stove

Wood pellet stoves and inserts have become a popular form of heat because they are environmentally friendly, extremely clean burning, and can be cost- effective.

Pellet stoves also known as bio-mass stoves offer using a fuel option that answers the need for clean-burning, renewable energy. Made of compressed sawdust that might otherwise end up in landfills, the fuel is consistent in size, and comes in forty-pound bags.

Simply pour the pellets into the stove's hopper which automatically feeds the pellets to the stove's burn pot. A single load can burn 24 hours..

Some pellet stoves are designed to also burn clean, dry shelled corn.  Corn is a renewable fuel option that is burned in freestanding corn stoves or in some pellet/biomass stoves. The corn must dried to 15.5% moisture or less and stored in an area free from rodents, birds, squirrels or other vermin.
The corn is sold by feed and seed stores or directly from farmers.

Pellet stoves can be vented into masonry chimneys or installed using specialized pellet vent. Some vertical rise in the vent is usually recommended.
